Saturday night Matt and I went out to dinner at Olive Garden and had the bottomless pasta bowl for dinner, yummy!. Then we headed out to the Sacramento Drive In's. We got there like a hour early to see The Brothers Grimm and The Skeleton Key. We set up our chairs and got all cuddled up in blankets and had our snacks ready to go for the movie.. but to our surprise at 8:30pm the movie Transporter 2 started not Brothers Grimm. Matt was pissed he went down to the gate and they gave us our money back and showed us the correct screen that we should have been at. Apparently they sent a lot of people to the wrong screen urg....Once we actually got to the correct screen and got set up again the movies were really good (except the beginning of brothers Grimm, I have no idea how that goes since we missed it but hey it was free so I guess we got what we paid for lol)
Sunday morning we got up and loaded up the car to go camping. We went to a small camp site just outside of Shingle Springs. It wasn’t out in the middle of no where camping but it was still nice to just get away. Once we got everything set up Matt and I decided to go for a swim, it was nice and refreshing. After swimming we head down the hill to a winery we saw on the way in to do some wine tasting. We ended up buying a bottle of Port and then headed back to camp to do some relaxing and reading. That night the camp site had some karaoke going on so Matt wanted to join in so after dinner we headed down and watched some people sing. Matt sang Heart Break Hotel, I don’t sing EVER. After that we went back to our camp site to roast marshmallows to make smores. Then Matt decided he wanted to show me all he knew about the stars so we took a walk to look at the stars then head to bed. We got up the next morning and Matt made breakfast then we packed up and headed home. It was a short last minute camping trip but a nice needed one. We had a wonderful time.
